These terms cover your use of QAAssist, a Chrome extension published by Gardner Responder Technologies ("we", "us"). By installing or using QAAssist you agree to them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension.
What QAAssist is
QAAssist reads a completed emsCharts PCR summary page and reports which of a set of checks the chart does and does not satisfy. It is a reviewing aid.
It is not a substitute for a qualified reviewer's judgment, and it does not certify that a chart is complete, accurate, or compliant. A clean result means the checks that ran found nothing — not that the chart is correct. You remain responsible for reviewing the chart yourself and for every decision you make about it, including any clinical, billing, legal, or regulatory consequence.
Not affiliated with emsCharts or ZOLL
QAAssist is an independent tool. Gardner Responder Technologies is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to emsCharts, ZOLL Medical Corporation, or any of their affiliates. "emsCharts" and "ZOLL" are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what the extension works with.
Because QAAssist depends on how emsCharts lays out its pages, an update to emsCharts can change or break what it reads. The extension warns you on screen when it can no longer find something it expects, but that warning is a safety net, not a guarantee.
Your responsibilities
- Use QAAssist only on charts you are already authorised to access, in line with your service's policies and applicable law.
- Do not rely on it as your only review. Read the chart.
- Do not copy, modify, redistribute, resell, or reverse-engineer the extension. See the licence in the project repository — the source is visible for transparency, not licensed for reuse.
Privacy
QAAssist reads chart content in order to check it, in your browser, and sends nothing anywhere. The Privacy Policy describes this in full and forms part of these terms.
Support and updates
We aim to keep QAAssist working and to fix problems as they surface, but we do not commit to a response time, to a release schedule, or to keeping any particular check, feature, or the extension itself available. Reach us at support@grtechsupport.com.
No warranty
QAAssist is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its checks will identify every problem with a chart.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gardner Responder Technologies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — QAAssist, including anything missed by a check or anything flagged in error.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the above applies to the greatest extent they permit.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use QAAssist after a change means you accept the revised terms.
